Park Safety

Briones' network of park safety is fairly robust, with many signs and billboards posted containing informational resources, park rules, warnings of potential hazards, as well as initiatives to make trails safer for both people and animals living in the environment.

Pilot Project

The Pilot Project is an initiative by the park to make trails safer for hikers, bikers, and horsegoers who often share these spaces. This is primarily being done by designating certain areas for hikers/horseriders and bikes only, and by alternating the usage of some trails for either group on different days.

Habitat Restoration

Habitat restoration efforts are ongoing inside the park, with some areas marked as blocked off from entry of any kind.

Protected zones that visitors can enter also exist, with information being clearly displayed about the environment and/or species that inhabits it in order to prevent damage to their wellbeing and bring awareness to the risks posed to them.
